SlideShare is a hosting service slides online. Users can upload files in file formats: PowerPoint, PDF, Keynote or OpenOffice presentations. Released on 4 October 2006, the site is considered similar to YouTube, but for slideshows. The site was originally intended to be used by companies to share the slides more easily between employees, but has since expanded to become also a series of large numbers of slides are loaded just to entertain.
